Description

Noni is a plant from Polynesia. The ripe and powdered fruit is used in the production of supplements. Polynesian herbalists have traditionally used the fruit of this plant in many conditions due to its wide therapeutic activity.
This product contains 650 mg of noni (morinda citrifolia) per capsule imported from Tahiti. The main components of noni appear to be polysaccharides and an additional compound known as damnacanthal. Studies with animals and in test tubes have shown that noni has immunostimulating activity. Also, in other animal research it was determined that the fruit can produce a slight sedative effect. Specifically, it has been shown that the polysaccharide component increases the release of immune system-strengthening compounds as they activate white blood cells. Additionally, damnacanthal is believed to be responsible for producing the calming effects.
